Do You Believe In Doing Something Special For Our Military?
Increasingly as more of America's military survive physical trauma of war, more are returning to civilian life dealing with emotional challenges triggered by the event. These are types of events that can lead to Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Liberty Fun Pass is dedicated to making sure these brave Americans get to enjoy the country the helped protect upon their return home to their families, friends and work colleagues.
- A recent Army report estimates more than one in three soldiers and Marines who have served in Iraq later sought mental health help upon their return.
- These types of events are horrible and scary to describe, and many times worse for the one experiencing it. This person is left believing that their life, or those of others, are in danger. One may feel afraid or that they have no control over what is happening, and could show up in other ways in later life.
- Liberty Fun Pass supports leading therapies and access programs in combating PTSD. Most notably, the U.S. Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs strongly recommends EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as one of its recommended treatments for PTSD in military. Its a standard used at major military medical facilities such as Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
- The Liberty Fun Pass was created so Americans can support initiatives for many in uniform silently wishing for more fun in their own lives. A portion of the profits will help, too, so please be a part of something special today, or call toll-free 1-866-923-LIBERTY.
